fitting givi panniers with a kawasaki rear rack

has anyone fitted both of these do you have to make a new plate for the pannier where it bolts to the rear rack where the grab handle was

Everything I have seen on the Web says the same: You cannot put the Givi side cases (which are the brand used by Kawasaki on their accessories list) and the top case together.

I've fitted them and what I did was ack saw the 2 lugs off the joining plate that runs behind the seat and use 2 longer bolts with washers on the top.......
It works a treat went to Arran last weekend fully loaded and it was fine no problems at all with the racks :D
the suspension is another story:(

i bought an 09 zzr1400 3 weeks ago, spent hours trying to sort luggage for it then i saw your post :D
any pictures?
which racks are they? the ones to take the shaped side panniers?

need to sort this or it could be a divorce - wifey not happy :(

i have also now cut the plate lugs off for the panniers plate that bolts under the seat and the seat just fits on..

Just read your post, Glad you got it sorted out
But you would think that Kawasaki and givi would get there acts and heads together

you say suspension is another story is this when fully loaded?

as i have not tried mine yet as i am going to scotland in may 2 up e55 top box and v35 panniers

we went to arran Easter weekend and the 14 was set up way to soft ive adjusted it now its better but there is no room for anymore adjustment with out changing springs and oil...............a job for next year when the penny's allow lol Its well known the the suspension is to soft but, there is a thread on here check it out and see what you think

any chance of some pictures?
i am think about getting a plate laser cut at work then fitting givi adapter plate with some extra supports down to something

will post pics in a couple of weeks.
